American Graphics was one of three special exhibitions of works from the museum's collection that complemented Order and Enigma: American Art Between the Two Wars. It included a selection of works from the recent gift of 51 prints by Mrs. Jean C. Boyer.

The two other related exhibitions were The American Scene: Selections from the Permanent Collection and American Abstract Artists: Works from the Permanent Collection.

This exhibition was organized by Associate Curator Cheryl Brutvan.
