This catalogue was published on the occasion of the exhibition "Guillermo Kuitca: Everything, Paintings and Works on Paper, 1980–2008," on view at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery from February 19 to May 30, 2010. It also traveled to the Miami Art Museum, Walker Art Center, and Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden.
This fully illustrated catalogue examines the artist's production between 1980 and 2008, including many unpublished paintings and works on paper tracing the artist's continuing development. The book documents the artist's thematic groupings (his series of stage sets, house plans, maps, beds, genealogical charts, architectural floor plans, theatre interiors and airport terminal baggage-claim carousels). In addition, the catalogue addresses his relationship to drawing, a previously unexplored aspect of his work which significantly influenced his approach to painting.
